Learning this week: Years 1 to 4 went to see the Travelling Light production ‘Sammy the Snow Leopard’. Reception classes have been learning how to trap a dinosaur. Year 1 have been learning about counting up in tens from 1 digit numbers. Year 2 have been learning about their times tables and had a very exciting visit from the ‘Owl Man’. Year 3 have learned a Mayan story and Year 4 have created a poster for chocolate. Year 5 have been learning about gravity in Science and Year 6 have been learning about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Pompeii for Topic.

KS1 SATS Meeting: Please don’t forget that the KS1 SATS meeting will now be held at 2.45pm on Wednesday 15 March in the School Hall.
Nursery Places: We have places available for a September 2017 start in our Nursery. Places are available on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning or a Wednesday afternoon, Thursday, Friday. If you or anyone you know would be interested in a place, please come to the office and fill out an application form.
Red Nose Day: Red Nose Day is on the Friday 24 March, we will be raising money for the charity by selling red noses all week. Noses are £1, and will be on sale on the gates in the mornings next week. Children can also dress in red for a donation on Friday 24.
Lost Property: A child in Year 1 has mislaid their football boots which were on his peg, they are black and white Puma boots. Please could you check and see if your child has brought them home by mistake? Thank you
PTFA News: Seed Planting: Friday 17 March between 9.00am-12.00pm in school. Come along and help us plant the seeds for the upcoming plant sale. We would love as many volunteers as possible, no experience or skills necessary, just enthusiasm.
Seed sowing and potting-on sessions will be held throughout March and April for various class groups. If any parents/carers would like to join their child's class group session please contact Lynne on 07816606591 for dates and times.
PTFA Annual General Meeting: Monday 20 March at 3.30pm in the school hall. At this meeting we will be voting in new committee members and need a certain number of people attending in order to do this. A crèche and tea and coffee will be provided. We really appreciate your support in coming along.
World Book Day was a huge success. We raised a total of £248.34 from the sale of the books. Thank you so much for all your support and contributions.
A group of parents are meeting up every Monday afternoon in the school garden to do some gardening, everyone welcome. No expertise necessary just come along and have some fun sorting out the garden. For more details contact email@example.com

Donations for school in Somaliland: One of our SMSAs, Sabah Egah, is collecting donations for the Go’o primary school in Somaliland.
