Medical Information:  Please inform the school office if your child has a medical condition so that we can be aware of his/her needs.  If your child needs medication in school the correct forms must be completed and medicines must be in date. Also we have two guinea pigs in school - if your child has an allergy to guinea pigs please contact the school office.

Volunteers wanted: We would welcome any help from people who enjoy gardening to either help with maintaining our garden areas within school or to help run gardening activities for children.  We aim to to give all children the opportunity to do some gardening in small groups in the School House garden.  If you would like to get involved please leave a message for Miss Radnor at the school office with your contact details.

Contacting the school by telephone: When ringing the school office please listen to the whole message, select any options that apply and then wait.  It will then ring and you will speak to a member of staff if free.  If nobody is available to speak to you you will be asked to leave a message which will be responded to at the earliest opportunity.

Eid Mubarak!  We would like to wish Happy Eid to all our families that are celebrating Eid Al Adha next week. This year we have decided to hold our fantastic Eid party in July when we celebrate Eid Al Fitr as the end of Ramadan next year will fall in the school summer term. We look forward to having a wonderful party then.

ESOL Classes For Parents.  We are running our popular ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) class again this year. If you would like to improve your English come along on Wednesday 23rd September at 1-3pm. The class will run for 10 weeks in the school house and there will be a free creche for pre-school children. If you are interested please see the school office.

PTFA Social, Weds 23rd Sept 9.00am - 10.00am at Mrs Brown's Cafe (or City Farm Cafe if raining). It is a great opportunity to meet other parents and have a cuppa so please come along. It is for everybody and we would love to see you!

Art on The Hill Exhibition, Sat 3rd October 10am - 4pm.  With only a couple of weeks to go we are still looking for volunteers to help us with running the cake stall and the cafe and would welcome anyone who would like to help with the workshops. There will be a letter going home in the book bags next week. These events are fantastic for the children and the school but we can't run them without your support. Please, if you think you can help for a couple of hours, e-mail us on We are going to be running some very exciting workshops and would like to ask you all to start collecting bits of nature that we can use on the day, things such as: pine cones, seeds, berries, conkers, acorns, anything interesting you can find when you are in the park. We would really appreciate this and will be collecting these on the gates the week beginning

28th September.   Many Thanks, Jo, Katie, Lisa, Hannah and Egle (PTFA Committee)

We need your help!  Next Thursday, 1 October, it is school census day which means we need as many children as possible to eat school dinner as our funding for the next year for dinners is decided with these numbers.  We will be serving pizza, hotdogs, burgers in a bun (vegetarian halal options), salad bar, jelly , ice cream and fruit.  Please see the letter being sent home today.

Whitehouse Street parking Did you know you are not allowed to park on pavements?  Did you know you are not allowed to park on white lines?  Did you know you are not allowed to drop off or park on zigzags?  Some of these things would get you points on your licence.  Please consider walking to school or parking by Victoria Park and walking through.  This would mean that people with mobility issues and disabled children could park safely close to the school.  I really appreciate your support in this.

Free Family Law Session. Thursday 1 October, 4.30-6.00 pm.  Some parents may be interested in a free family law session at the Family Law Court in Redcliffe Street.  For more information and to book a free place go to r phone 0117 9181529
