18th November 2016

Dear Parents /Carers,

Thank you to all the children for coming into school today in their spots – there have been some wonderful outfits and lots of money raised for Children in Need.  We will give you a total in next week’s newsletter.

In school this week Nursery classes have done lots of baking – they have made bread and today they made spotty edible tummies for Children in Need. In Reception they have continued their learning about Diwali and have made tea bell lamps.  In year 1 they have been counting in 2s and learning about the school in Salisbury where Beegu the Alien has gone.  In Year 2 that have been listening to ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ and in maths they have been adding and subtracting.  In year 3 they have been changing the setting in the mountain fire story and in maths they have been learning division and multiplication.  In year 4 they have been multiplying by 10s, 100s and 1000s and also writing reports about made-up creatures.  In Year 5 they have been looking at Roman numerals and the bus stop method of division in maths.  Year 6 have been adding and subtracting fractions in maths and in science they have been looking at the similarity between them and their parents.

Teachers and children will be updating their class pages on the website every Friday, do look at what they are all learning.
