Dear Parents / Carers
Thank you for supporting Children in Need on Friday, we raised a magnificent £228.34 and saw some very inventive costumes in school, thank you for your support.
This week in school we have been celebrating Diwali with a special assembly this morning where we all enjoyed a wonderful display of traditional Indian dancing. The nursery classes have been learning how to make special Diwali sweets called Burfi. The reception classes have making diva lamps. Year 1 had a slightly wet trip to the park for hot chocolate from Mrs Brown’s. Year 2 have watched a puppet show. Years 3 and 4 have been learning Indian folk dancing. Year 5 have been learning Bollywood dancing whilst Year 6 have been getting creative with Rangoli patterns.

Reception places 2016. If you, or anyone you know, would like your child to start in our school reception class in September 2016 please ask at the office to arrange a tour of the school with
Ms Payne. Please remember that a place in our nursery does not guarantee your child a place in our reception class – you will need to apply for a place through the Local Authority.
PTFA - Winter Fair, Saturday 21 November, 1.00-4.00 pm, School Hall. It’s Winter Fair time and we are going to have a brilliant day on Saturday. Come along and enjoy the Santa’s grotto, do some crafting and play some games or come and have some soup or hot chocolate at the cafe. There will be stalls selling Christmas gifts and cards, cakes and world food. This is the perfect opportunity to start your Christmas shopping. We recommend that you buy your Santa’s Grotto tickets as soon as you arrive at the fair as they sell out very quickly. Please come if you can, we are really looking forward to seeing you all.
Many Thanks, Jo, Katie, Lisa, Hannah and Egle (PTFA Committee)
