Dear Parents / Carers

Today has been Bioblitz Day! All the children have had the opportunity to go into Victoria Park to work with scientists and investigate the plant and animal life there.  Many thanks go to Alex Morss and VPAG for organising both the Bioblitz Day and the amazing Wildlife week the children have experienced this week.  Many thanks also to all the parents who supported us today. It has been absolutely great and the children have loved it!

E-safety This is a really important issue for parents to understand and to be able to support their children.  We know that children in our school have Facebook accounts, although this is not permitted until children are 13.  We know that children are playing games, online / x box / playstation etc that are far too old for them – do you know what your child is playing?  Have you played it?  Do you know what happens in Grand Theft Auto?  We know children have snapchat, Instagram and tumblr accounts – do you know if your children know how to stay safe with these? We organised and paid for an e-safety information evening for parents this week, and not one parent came. We are booking another session for October. In the meantime there are really helpful links about how to keep your child safe online here: http://www.stmaryredcliffeprimary.co.uk/useful-links/

Attendance:  Look out for the latest attendance figures on our website:-
