Attendance Letters: Your child should have brought home a letter this week showing their attendance percentage since the start of the school year. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this letter or your child’s mark please arrange to talk to Chris Williams, the Family Link Worker or Claire Ward, the interim Deputy Head Teacher.

Parking near School: Please can we remind parents/carers not to park on the pavement near the railway bridge before the bollard at the beginning and end of the day. If you wish to pick your children up please park elsewhere, it becomes very dangerous for pedestrians (children leaving school, parents/carers with pushchairs) if there are cars reversing etc. on this small bit of road.

Curriculum Afternoon Wednesday 8 February 2.30pm onwards: Please come to school to celebrate what your child has been learning this term. Nursery Oak will be from 11.00am to 11.30am and all other classes will be from 2.30pm. All classes are showing their work in their classrooms except Year 2 who will be performing their dances in the School Hall. Please come to the main reception for entry into school.

Parent/Carer/Teacher Evenings: These will be held on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 24 February after school. A letter will be going home in book bags today with more information, but you will be able to make your appointments through the online appointment booking system at

School Photographer: The school photographer will be in school on Wednesday 22 February to take individual and sibling photos. Every child in school (including Nursery) will have their photo taken and one taken with their siblings (if they have them) as well. If you have pre-school children and would like them to have their picture taken with their siblings in school please come to the office and leave your details.

PTFA News: Cake and Uniform Sale, Monday 6th Feb, 3.30pm in the school hall. In order to make this a success we need as many cake donations as possible. Donations can be left at the school office on Monday. Come along for cake and second hand uniform bargains!

Plant sale preparations. Some of the children will be sowing seeds next month for the plant sale (confirmed date to follow shortly) and we would love any spare seeds, compost, blank labels or similar. Anything that you have spare at home would be very much appreciated.

PTFA Opportunities. We will be sending home a letter in book bags very soon regarding the opportunities that are coming up to be more involved with the PTFA so keep an eye out for this!

Feel free to contact us on

Many Thanks, Wendy, Mary, Hannah, Lisa, Katy and Rose (PTFA Committee)
