Welcome to 4DJ!
Our Week - Friday 12th July
We began our week with our class treat - and it was the best!!!!!!!! We took our teddy bears over to Victoria Park, ate ice lollies, had a picnic, played games and then went on the adventure play park equipment.
On Tuesday, in RE, we summarised everything that we had been learning in Sikhism and then reflected on how the teachings and practises in Sikhism can inspire us in our own lives.
That afternoon our parents came in for Edison afternoon. We showed them the PowerPoints we had created on The Child of Hope School on the netbooks, our African dances, plus we handed out the brochures that we created on Uganda.
We met our new teacher Mr Oviawe, who was very kind and funny (like Mr Jones). We made little passports about ourselves and decorated it.
To complete our science investigation, we created line graphs on Excel showing the growth of our different plants. We also used Publisher to create a poster, using real photos of our plants, to back up our findings.
In addition, all week we have been immitating the story 'A Good Fortune in Camels' for Talk For Writing. It was our longest story to learn yet. We are looking forward to Monday when we can innovate the story.
