Dear Parents/Carers

There is so much going on in school at the moment! The Summer Fair on Saturday was lots of fun and well attended – thank you to the PTFA and all their helpers for their hard work. Thank you all so much for coming to the International Day Celebration yesterday, the children’s performances were wonderful and the Eid Party afterwards was a great success. Thank you to all parents and carers who brought food and helped out at both events.

Reminders: Bikes & Scooters: Although our bike lock-ups are secure during the day, it is not recommended to leave anything in there over-night, we have had some thefts (recorded on CCTV) which have taken place late night or early morning. We would like you to make sure that no bikes or scooters are left at school over the summer as we cannot guarantee that they will be here in September!

Lost Property: There will be a table in the foyer every afternoon from Monday 10 July with all lost property available for collection on it. Anything not collected by the end of term will be given to charity.

Celebration Service: Our Whole School End of Year Service will be held at School on Wednesday 19 July 9.30-10.30 am. The service will be held in the top playground if the weather is fine or in the school hall if it is raining. If we are outside, you are welcome to join us (entrance through the park gates to the top playground). Nursery Maple children may come with their parent / carer. If it is raining we will be in the hall and we are sorry that there will not be room for parents / carers to attend. We will text you on the Wednesday morning to let you know if we will be in the Hall.

Year 6: Year 6 have a lot of important events coming up;

- Please come and support them as they sell the products they have made for their Mini Enterprise Scheme, they will be in the school playground from 3.30pm on Monday and Tuesday next week.

- Tickets for Y6 parents/carers are available for the Leaver’s performance (Tuesday 18 July at 2.00pm and Wednesday 19 July at 6.30pm) from the office. Tickets are free, but limited to two tickets per child. We will keep a waiting list for each performance and let parents and carers know if any more tickets become available.

- Year 6 Leaver’s Assembly (Friday 21 July at 9.30am - 10.20am) – Y6 parents and carers welcome.

- Please make sure you have returned the permission slip for your child to take part in these events.

Year 6 Leavers’ Disco: 6.00-7.30pm 13 July  The £2 tickets are on sale from the office for a few more days - don't forget to buy yours (sorry, no siblings)! One adult can supervise more than one Y6 child but every child must have a nominated adult who is responsible for them at the disco. May we remind you that no photographs or filming can take place during the disco. Please remember to let us know what food you are going to bring to share.  We also need adult helpers to decorate and set up the hall, supervise during the disco and help clear up and if you have any bunting or fairy lights we could borrow - please pass your names to Alex Maxwell, Sarah Edwards or Julia Chapman. Many thanks, Julia

PTFA NEWS: Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the Summer Fair such a success – we couldn't have done it without you. We'll let you know how much we raised once the money has been counted.

The last big event for this term is the Annual Summer Picnic at Victoria Park on the slope by Mrs Brown's Cafe on Friday July 21 – see you there!
