Learning this week: Children throughout the school this week have been working very hard rehearsing for their plays. Children visited St Mary Redcliffe Church to see the trees for Treefest, you can still see the trees until Sunday. Year 5 enjoyed a visit to the M-Shed. Well done to Liam, Zubaydah, Munira, Houf and Joby who took part in the Determination Inspiration Courage Equality Multi Sport Event. Congratulations to our Y3/4 Athletics Team Joey, McKenzie, Macey, Emma, Trixel, John, Azaan, Tilly, Thomas, Evie, Megan, Leon, Ramani, Alvaro, Lauren, Rufus, Dylan, Colby, Ruby and Rosa who took part in an Athletics Event with six other schools and came second.

Library Book Amnesty: The library is now closed until after Christmas. Please could you and your child have a good look at home and return any books that belong in school. It doesn't matter how long you have had them - we would really like them back to put onto our new borrowing system. Thank you.
Christmas Lunch / Jumper Day: Children are welcome to wear a Christmas Jumper or brightly coloured jumper to school with their uniform on Christmas Lunch Day Wednesday

Applying for a place at a primary school: If you have a child who was born between
1 September 2010 and 31 August 2011 you must apply for a reception place before
15 January 2015. Bristol City Council prefers that you apply online at www.bristol.gov.uk/schooladmissions. Please remember that even if your child attends our Nursery you must still complete an application. Our Family Link Worker, Mr Williams will be happy to help you.
Single Parent/Co-Parentiing Group: Every Monday, 9.15–10.15 am.
This group has been set up to run every Monday in the School House (next to the KS1 playground). Please come along for a chat – tea and coffee provided!
PTFA Disco: Friday 12 December 6-7.30pm – School Hall. All tickets sold out very quickly again this year. You must bring your ticket with you to the disco and may we remind you that all children must be accompanied by an adult. Children will not be admitted without an adult. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the year and wish you all Merry Christmas and look forward to working with you again in the New Year.
Windmill Hill City Farm Christmas Fayre: Sunday 14 December 12-4.00pm
Afternoon of festive fun including Santa’s grotto, singing, refreshments, Christmas trees to buy. Plenty of entertainment for the children including tombola, Christmassy crafts and outdoor games.

The Widening Gyre: Monday 5th January 2015 1.10 – 1.50 pm
Gryoscopic Physical Theatre Workshop Performance at Saint Stephen’s Church, Saint Stephen’s Street, Bristol, BS1 1EQ. £2.00 voluntary donation. Take part or simply watch. Suitable for all, from Early Years and primary school age upwards.
