Well done to Year 2 for coping so well with their SATS this week, they have all been brilliant.


Learning this week: Year 1 have been concentrating on dividing this week and have had a visit from a puppet show. Year 2 have worked hard all week on their SATS. Year 3 have been learning about capacity and designing cocktails! Year 4 have been using coordinates to translate 2D shapes and today have gone to @Bristol. Congratulations to Year 5 who won the Poetry Slam at St. George’s last Friday. Year 6 have been solving a mathematical murder mystery.

Nursery Places: We have places available for a September 2017 start in our Nursery. Places are available on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning or a Wednesday afternoon, Thursday, Friday. If you or anyone you know would be interested in a place, please come to the office and fill out an application form. Your child must have been born between 01/03/2013 and 31/08/2014.


Sports Days: We are planning on holding Sports Days on Thursday 15 June for Key Stage 1 and Friday 16 June for Key Stage 2. These will be held at 9.30 – 11.30 am on the playing fields just outside of school in the Park and will be weather dependent. More information will follow in due course. The date for Early Years is yet to be arranged.


New Intake for Nursery and Reception September 2017: Nursery will be closed to children currently attending on Wednesday 21 June so that new starters can spend the day in school. There will be meetings for parents and carers of children starting in Reception in 2017 on Wednesday 21 June at 2.00pm and Thursday 22 June at 6.00pm. Further information to follow.


Term 5 Curriculum Afternoon: Come and see what your children have been experiencing in school this term on Thursday 25 May at 2.30-3.20pm. A letter will be going out in book-bags with your children today.


PTFA News: Thank you to everyone who helped ensure the plant sale was a success by giving their time and donating cakes. Congratulations to Year 2 and Year 6 on completion of their SATS, we hope they enjoyed their well-deserved ice lollies donated by Polar Pops.


Can all parents check their diaries to see if they can help at the Summer Fair on Saturday July 1st? A letter will be coming home next week with full details but we need over 70 volunteers to make it happen. If you can help, please email


The PTFA will be holding a social on Monday May 22nd at 3.40pm at Mrs Brown's Café - parents and carers are welcome to come along.
