Dear Parents / Carers
Learning this week Nursery children have been reading about The Little Red Hen and have visited the kitchen where she bakes her bread! Reception children visited St Mary Redcliffe Church to look at the stained glass windows and have been learning the difference between one more and one less. Year 1 children had an exciting time carrying out a local traffic survey. Anti-bullying week was the main topic for children in year 2 and also writing ‘Wishing Tale’ stories. Year 3 children learnt how to deal with ‘cyber bullies’ and how to keep safe by using passwords. They also watched a video of celebrities encouraging the children to say ‘no’ to bullying. Year 4 children have been designing anti-bullying posters and writing instructions on how to make a friend. Children in year 5 have re-written the story of ‘Moby Dick’ and have also been writing about ‘Unity and Trust’ – two of our Core Values. Year 6 children have been learning how to measure and calculate perimeter and area.
