About the PTFA
The Parents, Teachers & Friends Association has two main aims:
- To raise funds to support the school.
- To help create a sense of community & involvement for everyone connected to the school.
We do this by running events such as: Summer & Winter Fairs, Cake Sales, School Discos, and projects such as Gardening & Art activities. All of these are run by small groups of parents who volunteer to run the events, with support from the PTFA committee. In the last two years we have raised over £10,000 for the school.
All parents & carers of children at the school are automatically members of the PTFA (Parents Teachers and Friends Association), and are welcome at all events and meetings.
We run general meetings in school once a term to discuss the organisation of upcoming events, share new fundraising ideas, & to decide how best to spend the money we have raised to help the school and the pupils. We also hold informal social get-togethers for parents at least twice each term (see the links below for more details).
We rely entirely on volunteers for everything we do, so if you have an idea for an event you would like to help organise, would like to volunteer to help at an event (you don't need to spare more than a couple of hours) or if you would just like to find out more about the PTFA, we would love to hear from you.
