Respect and Friendship

Respect is all about showing consideration to others and not always putting yourself first.

Respect is about keeping yourself and others safe.

Respect is about celebrating our own uniqueness.

We are learning about friendships and the similarities and differences between us all.

We had a thoughtful Remembrance Day Service in school, led by Mr Fry and the Collective Worship Team.

Mr Fry told us about Armistice Day and what the poppy symbolises - death but the hope that can also be found in very difficult circumstances.  We are learning that from enmity friendship can grow through work and understanding.

We listened to the Last Post and kept a 2 minute silence.

The Collective Worship Team prayed:

Almighty God

Thank you that we can remember your love to us.

Please help us to remember those people who have died in different conflicts and wars.

May we be inspired by their courage.

May we seek peace wherever possible and work for justice.

May we show compassion to those who are in need.

Please help us to learn the difference between right and wrong and to stand up for what is right.

Please help us to serve others.         Amen
