Bristol and Beyond - Curriculum Map and Things You Need to Know Letter

Home Learning ideas for Term 1

Here are some things to try to extend school learning at home:

  • Visit the library and share stories together. Can you find any books to do with our topic?
  • Our ‘Author of the Term’ is Quentin Blake. Can you find any of his stories? Can you find out about his life?
  • This term we are learning all about Bristol. How many different places in Bristol do you know about? Can you visit them?
  • Use the top marks website to play English and Maths games:
  • Use clocks around the house to tell the time. We need to know o’clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to.
  • Start learning how to spell the words below. You must be able to spell them by the end of year 2.
