Welcome back! We have had a great time this week learning all about fireworks. We have made firework pictures using scouring pads, cardboard tubes and paint. We made firework models using junk and black sparkly playdough. We also danced to some firework music making up some actions. Of course, we also learnt about firework safety too.
This week was also parents evening. It was lovely to meet you all and have a chat about your child's learning.
This week the Little Red Hen came to visit. She was sad because her friends were very lazy and wouldn't help her make some bread. We helped though! We had a great time making dough, writing her letters, painting her pictures, retelling the story and making real bread.
This week we have been celebrating Diwali, the Hindu festival of light. Archana was working in school all week, teaching the whole school about Diwali and she did a fantastic puppet show telling the story of Rama and Sita. We also made Rangoli patterns with coloured rice and sand, made diva lamps and some special sweets.
The Little Red Hen has come back to visit again. She wanted her friends to help her make a pizza this time and of course they were too lazy to help. We decided we would help her so we made pizzas from all sorts of different materials and made real ones to eat. We even ordered a pizza on the computer from Dominos! Ivo delivered it to school in his car and we all shared it. It was delicious!!
Christmas has started! This week we have been practising our christmas show. Don't forget to buy your tickets from the office. We also put up our christmas tree and decorated it. It looks amazing!
This week we have been celebrating christmas. We have been Santa's Elf helpers and wrapping presents. Then we pretended to ride on a sleigh and deliver the presents.
Don't forget to get tickets for our christmas performance next Tuesday.
