Week beginning: 31 October
We are back!
This week in English we have been planning newspaper reports about a whole family of cattle died with bit marks on their necks and we learnt about word types like nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs.
Also in maths we did ordering and comparing fractions and we had to use the bar method to order and compare the fractions.
In art we have been learning to do a self-portrait of ourselves when we were babies, we had to bring a photo of when we were a baby. We also decorated skulls for the day of the dead.
In PE this week we played elephant football, ladders and splat.
24th November 2016
In Maths we have been adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions.
We wrote newspaper reports in English about a fictional man called Barry who was killed in a firework disaster and a child who saved a teacher who was having a heart attack. We also read extracts from fairy tales and wrote quotes from the characters in them.
In Science we made salt dough dinosaurs with the features they would need to survive an Ice Age.
Tag rugby has been our focus in PE.
In ICT we have been making our own games using a coding program called Quest.
We have been comparing life in Anglo-Saxon Bristol to life in Bristol today.
In Art we have been creating anti-bullying posters inspired by the artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.
