Week beginning 9th January 2017
Happy new year everyone to start off with sharing our work with you we are going to start off with maths so we have been learning about percentages and we have been using them with decimal points.
In P.E we have been learning on how to play hockey and how to control the ball in hockey we have also been practising our dribbling skills on the fire line.
Also in English we have been using the netbooks to write and research about refugees and we also had to make a power point about refugees.
In guided reading we have been rereading a book called the other side of the Truth and the author is Beverly Naidoo.

Week beginning 23.01.17
During a wonderful week in 6 Dogwood we had such a lot of learning to do. Keep reading to find out more.
Our math lessons have been about ratio and proportion. E.g 6:2 =3:1 simplified. In ratio there are phrases which are “for every” and in proportion the phrase is “out of”
Throughout out English we have been learning about a book called the other side of the truth by Beverley Naidoo. It is about a girl called Sade and a boy called Femi, we’ve been writing letters from Sade to Mariam.
Through in science we’ve been looking on how the heart works our question was “what would happen to our hearts and breathing rate, if we change the amount of exercise, but keep the person exercising and time the same.
Our topic this term in RE is ‘What does it mean to belong to a religion?’ We have been learning about Christianity and discussing different images relating to the religion.
