We've made a great start to Term 3 in Juniper class!
The new school iPads are awesome and we have begun our coding journey using Apple's Swift Playground. We are looking forward to using the new school equipment more this year.
In English, we have been reading the story of Jemmy Button - the fascinating true tale of how a South American boy that is taken to Victorian London to become an English gentleman.
Swimming has got off to a splash again - please remember to bring kit & a towel every Thursday.
Our other PE lesson this term is hockey - please make sure that children have a PE in school for Mondays.
We look forward to finding out more about South America throughout this term - stay tuned for more details!
Happy New Year & welcome to Term 3!
This term, we will be immersing ourselves in the arts. The whole school theme is 'Take 5'. Each class will be learning about our year group topic through: books, art, music, dance and food. In Year 3, we will be focusing on South America. There will be plenty of cross-curricular learning in term 3.
Our text in English will be 'Jemmy Button', a beautifully illustrated true story set in South America.
We will be continuing with our swimming lessons on Thursday afternoons. These have been very successful so far, with lots of children making great progress in the pool.
Please continue to support the work that the children do at school by reading with them at home and practising timetables.
