Welcome back! This week someone stole Ms Loosley's porridge! We think it might have been Goldilocks. We made some more porridge and we added different toppings. We tried raisins, brown sugar and honey. We all loved honey. It was delicious! Then we listened to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have been sorting the bears in order of size and then we sorted ourselves in order of size!
Don't forget to book an appointment for parent's evening this week.
We got a letter from the Three Billy Goats Gruff this week. They wanted our help getting past the Troll who lives under the bridge to get to the green grass on the other side. We made lots of bridges out of different materials. We tripped trapped across bridges outside. We also made lots of goat and troll pictures too.
Have you seen the Gingerbread Man? He ran away from Nursery and we have been looking everywhere for him! We went on a hunt around the school and asked everyone we met if they had seen him. We looked for clues. We could smell ginger and there were crumbs on the floor. We think he may have escaped out of the door! We made posters and put them up around the school too. As he didn't come back we decided to make our own gingerbread men. We decorated them too. They were delicious!
After finding the naughty Gingerbread Man last week, this week we have been looking for the Big Bad Wolf who went to Grandma's house and ate her up! He even tried to eat Little Red Riding Hood! Luckily the wood cutter rescued Little Red Riding Hood and her Grandma.
We have had great fun this week listening to the story of Little Red Riding Hood. We dressed up like her and re-told the story. We made lots of posters and put them up to warn people about the wolf!
We hope he doesn't come back....
We have been helping The Three Little Pigs this week. The naughty wolf has come back and has blown their house down! We have made them some new houses. We also thought about which materials would be the best to use to make them a strong house that the wolf couldn't blow down. We tested straw, sticks and bricks using a hair drier to down them over. We found the bricks were the strongest. We also thought of some other materials and we tested leaves, paper and stones. We thought stones would be good to build a house out of.
We also had our curriculum morning. Thank you for so many parents coming to see our Goldilocks Rap. We hope you enjoyed it!
