Visit to St.Mary Redcliffe Church
2 Lime went to church today and it was absolutely fabulous because there was lots of gold and interesting things. We created beautiful stain glass windows using black sugar paper to make the frame and some transparent coloured paper. We worked in small teams!! A lady called Sarah and other volunteers who gave us some puppets to re-tell the Easter story. It was fun!! Then we had a tour around the church and looked very closely at the stain glass windows. We also saw the chaotic pendulum and it was interesting. We learnt that Jesus gave people a piece of bread to represent his body and wine to represent his blood. Miss Stone was really proud of 2 Lime because everybody was well behaved.
Darren the Owl Man brought 6 real life owls to our school hall. They were very interesting owls because many of them had fantastic camouflage. We learnt that owls can turn their heads in any direction because their eyes can not move. At the end we had our picture taken with Whizz the barn owl. 2 Elm had their photo taken with Tango a long eared European Owl.
We wrote our story the owl and the pussy cat the whole way through!
This week in PE we have been learning the skills of hockey and played some matches and will continue next Monday.

We had assembly in the hall and saw everyone's costumes and Miss Bendon gave us a quiz about books. Miss Stone dressed up as a cat and Mrs Croot dressed up as a £5 note from the Owl and The Pussy Cat. In Art we have been drawing owls and cats.
