Term 5

We had a wonderful trip to The Farm!

It was a lovely warm afternoon and we all had so much fun!

We were shown all sorts of different herbs and plants and we tried tasting some of them, the we did digging and watering the seeds and plants.

Next we were taken around The Farm to meet the animals. We even got to feed some of them.

We fed the chickens and both Mrs Clarke and Miss Loosley had their legs pecked by the hens! The goats were greedy too and a baby kid tried to eat our clothes!

We really enjoyed ourselves as you can see in our pictures.

Thank you to all the adults that came too.

Welcome back to Term 5!

This term we are carrying on with our topic 'Stories and Rhyme.'

We have starting learning our Talk for Writing story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We are getting really good at remembering the words and actions.

This week we have been trying to help The Three Little Pigs. They have lots of problems with the Big Bad Wolf. We made posters and put them up around the school warning everyone about him.

The Pigs needed a new house but it had to be strong enough to stop the wolf blowing it over. We tested out straw, sticks and bricks by blowing them with a hair drier. We discovered that bricks were the best material and straw got blown away really easily. We also discovered that when we made our own houses really tall buildings got blown over and the houses needed a good strong base.

I wonder who will visit us next week?
