All Creatures Great and Small

We will be investigation animals and their habitats.

We are very excitied about visiting Longleat. Use the link below to explore their website.

This week we have been eagerly practising our spring show in preparation for next week. We will be performing it on Tuesday afternoon for Curriculum Afternoon. Then the big day is Friday when we perform it to the whole school. We are looking forward to seeing all the other dances too.

We have written AMAZING animal myth stories, which Miss Bendon has greatly enjoyed reading.

We practised function machines in maths which is also our homework for the weekend.

In science we have been thinking about habitats and why animals are suited to them.

This week we were practising our maths skills by playing maths games.

We've played hangman in phonics to practise our spelling.

We have been learning the story 'How Tortoise got his Shell' which is an animal myth story. We used it to find the rules of an animal myth story which we will use next week to write our own. We also made the story better by adding in description, using adjectives.

We have been learning about printing with polystrine tiles and having fun in art drawing fish pictures, inspired by Paul Klee.
