Hi everyone, please have a look below for more pictures from Bristol Zoo and pictures of all the lovely the homework that has been brought in. Our theme this week was camouflage in the rainforest. We made camouflaged animal art and even made our own camouflaged insects to hide at Forest School. In Literacy we wrote 'Who am I?' flip booklets . For example 'I have no legs. I have scales. I can climb up trees...Who am I?' In Maths we looked at the tricky concept of difference by placing two towers of cubes next to each other and working out how much taller the taller one was.

Have a lovely weekend

Welcome back to the new term. We started our new rainforest topic with a great trip to Bristol Zoo. Ash class really enjoyed their 'Rainforest Experience' in the Education Centre, where they were able to meet a variety of different creatures including Madagascan hissing cockroaches, stick insects and a Colombian rainbow boa!

Thanks so much for working with your children over the holidays on such wonderful models, art work and fact sheets. There has been plenty of learning to share this week and it has been a great star to the topic. In our books this week we wrote a recount of our zoo trip and we worked out and recorded he number of faces in a variety of 3D shapes.

Have a lovely weekend
