Hello and welcome back everybody!
We all hope you had a fantastic Easter break. The children have come back energised and ready for learning.
This term our topic is 'Our Place'. This is a science and geography based topic where we'll be exploring living things and their life cycles. Furthermore, in geography we'll be exploring local areas around our school and suggest ideas for improvement. The children will be exploring a variety of maps and will use this information to inform their ideas.
As always, there are many things that the children can do at home, especially during the weekends.
- Reading a book every day for 20 minutes. When the child have read the book they can bring it in to add to our class list.
- Times table practise - This will help massively during their maths lessons.
- Spellings - Children to practise the spellings that they find hard. We would also encourage the children to practise using a dictionary and a thesaurus.
- Learn parts of a flower - Use own learning strategies to learn the names and functions of the parts of a flowering plant.
