This term we are conducting our mini-enterprise topic. We will be selling and playing games with the school community to see if we can make a profit on the £5 per child loan the school has given us.
So far in Maths, we have been creating a Lunar Theme Park. This ties in with our Mini-Enterprise topic as we are working to a budget and have to account for staffing, maintenance and building costs when we calculate our ticket prices. We have also planned a holiday for Mr Law and his family. There are a lot of well thought out destinations to go to, taking into account Mr Law's very fussy conditions regarding travel time, cost, temperature and range of events.
Our play rehearsals will be kicking off big time this term as we get ever closer to the performance dates of the 18th and 19th of July. Make sure you keep those dates clear, you don't want to miss this one!
In Literacy, we have continued developing our writing skills by looking at specific writing techniques such as using a flashback to convey important past events, or showing emotion through character actions rather than simply stating how our character feels.
In RE, we have been learning about the history of Myanmar/Burma and the role of Aung San Suu Kyi in the changing of its political nature.
