Ugandan visitors - Patrick and Tonny
Today we had 2 special visitors from Uganda. Patrick, a Deputy Headteacher, and Tonny, a year 11 student, come from Ikoba School. Their school is linked with St Redcliffe and Temple Secondary School. Year 3 were lucky enough to be chosen for a presentation by Patrick and Tonny. We were able to ask lots of questions. Tonny told us his favourite subject is Geography and accountancy, and when he grows up he will go to college to study more accountancy. They told us about growing bananas, sweet potatoes, pineapples, sugar cane, rice and beans. Patrick told us he started as a normal teacher, then he helped more and more teachers until he became a Deputy Headteacher. He is also a governor at the local primary school at the bottom of the hill. In their school there is only 1 playground, which is divided up into different sections for different games. We enjoyed talking with them and they told us we looked very smart in our uniforms and we were very well organised.
