Week Beginning 22nd March 21
This week we have been continuing our work on multiplication and division continuing to practice grouping and starting work on sharing! The children did a great investigation where they were in groups of varying size and working systematically to find which amounts of counters could be shared equally between their group.
In English the children have been working hard on their presentation taking great care to form their letters correctly and ensuring their ascenders, descenders and small letters sit in the correct place on the line.
In Phonics the children have continued "Flashback Phonics!" showing off their phonic knowledge from Lockdown.
In RE we talked about Mezuzah's in Jewish homes and thought of special messages we would like to think about when we enter and leave our homes.
Week Beginning 8th March 21:
It has been so wonderful to welcome all the children back this week! We have kept them busy and their week full of fun. In Phonics the children have been showing off all the new sounds they have learnt over lockdown and how well they have remembered all their learning from before. In Maths the class have continued to be taught about measurement this week learning all about measuring and comparing mass making great use of the balance scales! In English the children have been doing some spectacular sentence writing inspired by their class read: Camille and the Sunflowers. They have written vivid descriptions of Van Gogh's iconic sunflower painting and written letters as Van Gogh to Camille thanking him for his lovely floral gift.
We can't wait to see what they get up to next week!
