Term 1

We are so excited to welcome to Year 6 and look forward to seeing you in your shiny-new, blue jumpers!


This term our PE days are Monday and Friday. Please come to school in your PE kit (black trousers/shorts, trainers, plain white t-shirt and your year 6 blue jumper).


Remember, we are not at the disco (however much we want to be). Please only wear a watch and studs. All other jewellery/hair accessories should be left at home.


This term on a Thursday morning, Mrs H and Dr Fletcher will be covering PPA, teaching Science, Spanish, Spellings and Art.


On a Thursday afternoon, Jimmy will be covering Miss Cameron during her phase leadership time.



In science, we dissected a sheep heart and found veins and arteries. We also found the aorta which is the biggest arteries.


We maths we split up into groups and we did different kinds of operations, like adding ,subtracting, dividing and multiplying.


In English we made poems about our characters from the book 'The Crossover'.

17th September


In PE we've been learning how to play basketball with Cory form Bristol Sport.


Our class book is The Crossover. We created new characters for the book.


In Maths we did place value work and thought about sentence openers. We looked at number up to 1,000,000.


In spelling, we were practising our KO words in fun ways.


In Art we sketched in our books what we love.

10th September


"This week, in science we have learnt about the circulatory system" - Sajid
