Welcome to 2 Whitebeam
It has been a fantastic start to the term getting to know the children and we are incredibly proud of how well the children have settled back in school life.
For the first three weeks, we will be focussing on our ‘recovery curriculum’ that includes a variety of PSHE and well-being lessons as well as opportunities to engage and learn about growth mindset. The children will be taking part in a variety of fun and engaging activities as well as developing new skills and understanding across the curriculum.
**This term, PPA will be on Wednesday AM and will be covered by Mrs H.
Every week, your child will choose a book from the class library as well as a levelled book from Oxford Reading Buddy. Please encourage your child to read at home and feel free to ask if you need any support. Please ensure that children bring in their books everyday.
OUR PE DAYS ARE TUESDAY AND THURSDAY
During PE days, the children will need to come into school wearing PE kits and will stay in their kits for the whole day. Currently, PE will be completed outdoors so the children will need warm layers during the colder months. Please can children bring in their school jumpers so that they can wear them after their PE lessons.
PE KIT LIST
Plimsolls or trainers
Black shorts or black jogging bottoms
A hair band for children with longer hair
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to come and see me at the end of the school day or make an appointment to talk to me at another time.
