Week beginning 6th December
We have loved completing our performances this week. I have been so impressed with the effort that was put in by the children - I hope you all enjoyed it!
We have also been able to construct houses for the 3 Little Pigs for our DT project. The houses had to be able to withstand an earthquake. We did some research on what features might be useful which include a wide base and a short structure. The children did so well with their cutting and sticking and were able to create some magnificent houses.
Week Beginning 29th November
We have had a lovely week where we have been working on our Nativity, we cannot wait! We look forward to performing to the school on Tuesday next week and to parents and family on Wednesday and Thursday next week. Thank you to all who have brought in their costumes.
This week we have had an RE day where we have learned a lot about Christmas. As part of this we have loved making clay figures of the Nativity scene. They will be coming home soon - hopefully in tact!
Week Beginning 22nd November
We have continued to learn about The Three Little Pigs and have looked at the houses they have built. We have set a DT challenge on designing a house that is strong and can withstand an earthquake! In preparation for this we have found different ways of joining card!
We have also been working on our nativity songs and dances! Do check them out :
Please remember to bring in costumes! Thank you
Week Beginning 8th November
We have loved learning about the 3 Little Pigs and memorising our own version of the story. We have a story map and actions for the whole story. Do ask for the children to perform it! We have then started writing the story.
