Term 2 - Maritime Bristol
Welcome back!
I hope that you all had a lovely and relaxing half term. We have had a brilliant first week back filled with performing sea shanties, auditioning for the Christmas production and learning a tricky new chord in Ukulele.
There are links to the Curriculum Map and Things You Need To Know letters just below. I have also added a link for homework ideas based around our topics this term. These are for you to pick and choose from. If you complete any of the homework ideas (or any of your own) please bring them in – I would love to see it!
Can I just remind you that spellings and times tables should be practised every week – 10 minutes every day is best! Also, you should be reading 20 minutes every day. This will help you with our class challenge to read the height of the teacher.
Thanks for a brilliant start to term 2!
Miss Aubrey

Term 2 Update
This term is going so quickly! We have been busy going on a trip to the Harbourside, learning stories and our practising our pantomime for the end of term. Here is what some of the children have to say:
"In PE, we have been doing gymnastics. We have been learning different stretches and balances with our partners," Laurie.
"In PE, with coach Kane we have been learning about football. We have practised throwing in and passing," Sabira.
"In English, we have been learning a story called Dobber and the Silver Ring. We wrote our own description of Dobber," Jama.
"In Maths, we have started learning about multiplication and division. We revised how to multiply or divide by 10, 100 and 1,000," Alex.
"Following our trip to Bristol Harbourside, we have written about what the harbour was used for in the past up until present day," Lyla.
