BBC Bitesize is an excellent place to see how we do things in class. Please find the link below to support your maths work.

Designing fairground attractions and exploring electrical circuits.

Term 3 Week 1

Welcome back and happy new year everyone. We all hope you had an excellent festive holiday.

This term is a science based topic around fairgrounds and Dr Who. In science we will be learning about electrical circuits and exploring how different voltages impact components. In DT, we will also be designing and creating our own junk model fairground rides.

In English, we are currently learning our new text that involves Dr Who. The title of the balanced argument is 'Should the Daleks be allowed to live on planet Earth?'

As per usual, we will be conducting our weekly spelling and times tables tests on Thursday. If you would like a copy of the spelling list please let Mr Fry know.

We would like all our children to read as much as they can. Therefore we encourage all the children to read for at least 20 minutes per evening. Our class text is a book called 'Wonder'. It's certainly very popular amongst the children at the end of the day.

Other home learning could include a study into the things that use electricity around the home. They could create an information page about the items that use battery power and power from the mains. Furthermore, these website links are also an excellent place for extra learning - and
