Term 6

25.6.21

Iolo-Today was Sports Day and we competed in different activities like egg and spoon race, hurdles, skipping, nest raiders and football dribble. We finished with the sprints.

Norah- In the sprints the girls had a race against each other and so did the boys.

Daniel- We began our Linked-In project with our partner school. We wanted to produce a piece of art work called 'Incredible Me'. We drew pictures of animals that matched our personality.

Gaya-This week we found out which classes we are going to be in next year.

11.6.21 SMRP BOOK DAY

The Bird Within Me by Sara Lundberg

11.06.21

SMRP Book Day

We kicked off our day with an amazing catwalk! Each year group strutted their stuff while the rest of the school cheered them on! It was ace!

5 Lime looked good in our costumes and we also read our book which had beautiful pictures and told the story of a young girl who secretly dreamed of being an artist.

Welcome back!

We hope that you had a restful break and are looking forward to the beginning of the final summer term.

Things you need to know:

  • PE will now be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children should come to school on these days dressed in their PE kit, which consists of a Plain White T Shirt and Black Tracksuit Bottoms, Leggings or Shorts. Because we do not get changed in school, we expect children to wear a school jumper and not a tracksuit top or hoodie.
  • PPA will be on Tuesdays and we will have a coach from Bristol Sport providing specialist PE instruction.

Our class story is 'The Dam' by David Almond and is tells the story of people affected by the building of a reservoir in the north of England. This links strongly with to our topic lessons this term, where we will be asking the question 'Why is water important?'
